As couple of weeks ago, Kyle Daly, a reporter for C-ville, a weekly newspaper, interviewed me in connection with an article that he was writing on racial diversity in motor sports. As many readers of this blog already know, I'm working on a long-term documentary project called Democracy of Speed. It combines history, interviews, and photos to look at the ways in which drag racing has been unusually welcoming of women and members of racial and ethnic minority groups.
