I'm a HUGE Billy Strayhorn fan after being turned on to "And His Mother Called Him Bill." All fans of the Duke owe a big debt of thanks to Billy. Happy Birthday Billy! and thanks for this!

I agree about "And His Mother Called Him Bill." I had the LP when I was a teenager, but lost it somewhere over the years. I've just bought a new one -- a vinyl reissue. It's as wonderful as I remember it being. And, at the end, when Ellington plays one of Strayhorn's songs alone at the piano, it's heartbreaking.
